Cohere Appoints Francois Chadwick As New Chief Financial Officer
Alongside the fundraise, Cohereappointed Joelle Pineau, former Vice President of AI Research at Meta, as Chief AI Officer, and FrancoisChadwick, former CFO at Uber and Shield AI, as ChiefFinancialOfficer. Cohere has also appointed a newCFO in FrancoisChadwick, a San Francisco-based executive who was most recently a partner at KPMG, and previously served as Uber’s global head of tax and accounting. Chadwick, who previously served as Uber’s acting CFO, was hired earlier this month alongside chief AI officer Joelle Pineau as the company announced $500 million USD in fresh funding. FrancoisChadwick, Cohere's new CTO, previously held the same role at Uber. He helped take the ride-hailing provider public in 2019.FrancoisChadwick, who has worked at Uber and KPMG, will become Cohere's chieffinancialofficer. Cohere named Joelle Pineau, who spent nearly eight years at Meta and served as vice-president of AI research, as chief AI officer. Cohere recently announced leadership changes, including the appointment of former Meta research head Joelle Pineau as chief AI officer, FrancoisChadwickasCFO, and Phil Blunsom as CTO. Besides, the company has also announced a newchieffinancialofficer and has appointedFrancoisChadwick, who also once served as Uber’s acting CFO. In May, it was reported that Cohere had doubled its annualised revenue since the start of this year and surpassed $100 million.
