Aaron Latham, a screenwriter, journalist and author whose story in Texas Monthly inspired the 1980 smash “Urban Cowboy,” died July 23 in Pennsylvania of complications from Parkinson’s disease. Latham was married to “60 Minutes” correspondent Lesley Stahl . Aaron worked as a writer for The Washington Post and wrote on the Watergate affair for New York magazine. Latham’s piece inspired the film Urban Cowboy, which he co-wrote with director James Bridges. Her father Aaron Latham is a journalist who wrote the article that inspired the movie Urban Cowboy.Stahl stands at an average height and moderate weight.
