With a record number of retirements projected over the next several years, companies within the trades industry are scrambling to fill the voids of a severe skilledlaborshortage. For that reason, it wouldn't be surprising to see others in the immigration field or even the US tech firms themselves looking to emulate the PassRight model to increase the flow of foreign workers into the country. Germany is facing an acute labour crisis and eyeing Indian students to fill the critical gaps that could otherwise cripple its industries. Germany has recently brought in a law to double the work time for international students, of which Indians form the biggest bloc. Although many attribute skilledlabor and trade shortages in Alaska and the United States to the Great Resignation following COVID-19, it has unfortunately been an industry topic for over a decade.
